¿La dieta que imita el ayuno (FMD) realmente activa la autofagia en personas o solo en ratones? Un ensayo piloto aleatorizado con 30 adultos sanos comparó ProLon y otra formulación de FMD contra un control. Tras aproximadamente seis días de intervención, se observaron diferencias en flujo autofágico, peso, glucosa, cetonas e índice HOMA‑IR, aunque no todas fueron estadísticamente significativas y el estudio fue pequeño y financiado por el fabricante de ProLon.
