Može li nekoliko dana gotovo bez hrane stvarno aktivirati autofagiju u vašim stanicama? To je osnovna ideja dijete koja oponaša post (FMD), dosad podržana gotovo isključivo studijama na miševima i stanicama. Novo pilot‑randomizirano istraživanje objavljeno u *GeroScience* testiralo je FMD na ljudima i otkrilo promjene u težini, glukozi, ketonima i autofagičnom protoku, ali razlike nisu bile značajne u svim vremenskim točkama. Studija je mala i financirana od strane proizvođača ProLona, pa je važno znati tko bi trebao razmisliti dvaput prije nego što se upusti u ovakvu dijetu.
