Dipeptid z kuřecího prsu nazývaný anserin přinesl překvapivě čistý výsledek u lidí s mírnou kognitivní poruchou. V 12‑týdenní randomizované studii denní dávka 500 mg zvýšila skóre MMSE o přibližně 1,9 bodu, zatímco placebová skupina zůstala beze změny (p = 0,036). Navrhovaný mechanismus spočívá v zachycování hypochlorové kyseliny, reaktivní molekuly spojené s neurozánětem. Výsledek souzní s předchozími studiemi o karnosinu a meta‑analýzou z 2024, která ukázala zlepšení zpožděné rekapitulace. Přestože bylo analyzováno jen 30 lidí a použil se jediný kognitivní test, tato data ukazují, co lze a co nelze z výzkumu vyčíst.
