Одно подкожное введение CJC‑1295 повышало уровень гормона роста в 2–10 раз на шесть и более дней и IGF‑I — в 1,5–3 раза на 9–11 дней у здоровых взрослых 21‑61 года. Полувыведение пептида составило 5,8–8,1 дня, а после многократных доз уровень IGF‑I оставался выше базового до 28 дней. Тяжелых побочных реакций не наблюдалось, лучшая переносимость отмечалась при дозах 30–60 мкг/кг. Исследование 2006 года измеряло лишь гормоны и безопасность, а не прирост мышечной массы, снижение жира или спортивные показатели.
