断食模倣ダイエット（FMD）が本当にヒトの細胞でオートファジーを活性化するのか、あるいはマウスだけの話にとどまるのか疑問に思っていませんか？30名の健康な成人を対象としたパイロット無作為化比較試験で、ProLon と別のFMD製剤を対照群と比較しました。約6日間の介入後、体重・血糖・ケトン体・インスリン抵抗性、そしてオートファジー流量に有意な変化が見られましたが、すべての測定時点で差が保たれたわけではなく、試験規模は小さく、スポンサーが製造元である点にも留意が必要です。本稿ではプロトコル、結果、そして注意点をまとめています。
