A single AA-style cylindrical battery, shown as a real object with a bare metal cap and a plain unlabeled matte sleeve, stands upright on a glossy surface. آیا یک کپسول روزانه نیکوتینامید ریبوزید (NR) و پترستیلبن می‌تواند سطح NAD+ را در بزرگسالان مسن ارتقا دهد؟ در اولین مطالعه بالینی با تکرار دوز (NRPT – Basis) ۱۲۰ نفر بین ۶۰ تا ۸۰ سال به مدت هشت هفته این ترکیب را مصرف کردند. سطح NAD+ در خون به‌طور متوسط ۴۰٪ در دوز پیشنهادی و ۹۰٪ در دوز دو برابر افزایش یافت و این افزایش در طول مطالعه ثابت ماند. هیچ عارضه جدی‌ای گزارش نشد. در ادامه نگاهی دقیق به نتایج عددی، نکات دوزی و محدودیت‌های این پژوهش خواهیم انداخت.
