U randomizovanom ispitivanju na 276 ispitanika starosti 50‑75 godina, peptid N‑PEP‑12 pokazao je razliku u rezultatima pažnje u odnosu na placebo tokom vremena. Nakon 90 dana, grupe doze od 45 mg i 90 mg imale su veće dobitke u budnosti, pažnji i pamćenju, a i rezultat Digit Span se poboljšao. Međutim, glavni efekat tretmana nije bio statistički značajan (p = 0,133), a zaključci o pojedinačnim krajnjim tačkama su označeni kao eksplorativni.
