U randomiziranom istraživanju objavljenom u *Nature Aging* otkriveno je da četiri tjedna suplementacije urolitinom A pomiču imunološki profil zdravih sredovječnih odraslih. Zabilježeno je povećanje naivnih CD8⁺ T‑stanica i veća sposobnost sagorijevanja masti, ali učinak je vrlo malen – promjena od tek 0,5 postotna bodova. Studija je trajala četiri tjedna, obuhvatila 50 sudionika i mjerila biomarkere, a financirala ju je tvrtka proizvođač Mitopure.
